Cosmetic Acupuncture (includes whole body)
Cosmetic acupuncture is a whole-body approach to wellness as it addresses the surface signs of aging as well as the internal stressors that contribute to the aging process. As a healthy lifestyle habit, it will restore your natural radiance & slow down the aging process.
What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
It is an modern adaptation of an ancient beauty secret to remove the signs of aging. It is a virtually painless technique of using tiny needles to help revitalize your skin to a youthful glow. Cosmetic acupuncture includes a traditional whole-body session to address internal stress factors that influence the aging process. This combined approach offers outer beauty through inner well-being.
How Does it Work?
Needles as thin as a strand of hair are inserted carefully into key areas and creases in the face, causing tiny micro-trauma to the skin that triggers an increase in blood flow and activates collagen production. Collagen, the body’s natural “filler,” increases muscle tone and elasticity. The increase in blood flow helps revitalize and nourish the skin, resulting in healthier skin, a dewy glow, and a more youthful appearance.
The Benefits of Cosmetic Acupuncture
- Reduction of Fine Lines
- Deeper Wrinkles Soften
- Complexion Improvement
- Lift & Tone of Muscles
- Better Hydration of the Skin
- Reduction of Under Eye Bags
Cosmetic Treatment Plans
The average treatment course includes a total of 12 treatments, two treatments per week for six weeks. Results vary from person to person, but you’ll likely notice subtle changes to your skin tone and fine lines after just three treatments. Deeper wrinkles will start to vanish after about six treatments, with lasting changes to overall complexion, skin tone and texture and improved muscle toning and tightness after 12 treatments. Follow-up treatments are encouraged to maintain results.
Are There Any Risks? Cosmetic acupuncture is a chemical-free, natural approach to anti-aging, without the side effects, risks and downtime of more invasive cosmetic procedures. There is no downtime, no swelling, or redness, and you never have to worry about allergic skin reactions. Although the majority of patients do not experience any complications, a small amount of bleeding, bruising or puffiness may occasionally occur.
Who is a Candidate for Cosmetic Acupuncture? Most men and women looking for a natural, alternative approach to reducing the signs of aging and improve overall wellness are candidates for cosmetic acupuncture. Those who are not eligible for cosmetic acupuncture include pregnant women, those with hemophilia or contagious skin diseases, those with a severe deficiency, or those who have undergone other cosmetic procedures such as injections and surgical procedures in the past 2-6 weeks.
Private Acupuncture Sessions vs Semi-private Acupuncture Sessions?
Private sessions allow the use of electro-stimulation acupuncture for acute and chronic conditions. Many back, neck and spinal conditions are better treated in a face down position, which can only be done in a private session. Additional therapies such as; aromatherapy massage, cupping, walking cup massage or ZYTO energy scan require private sessions. It is best to choose a New Client session or Consultation before your semi-private acupuncture sessions.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Side effects are minimal but may include fatigue, slight bruising, tenderness at needle site, temporary worsening of symptoms, and emotional release.
